Alaska Criminal History by Borough
Alaska does not use counties. Instead, the state is divided into boroughs and census areas, and criminal history resources are organized by those divisions. Each area is served by Alaska State Troopers or a local police department, along with the Alaska Court System and the statewide DPS criminal history repository. The primary source for a formal background check is always the Alaska Department of Public Safety, regardless of which borough or area the person lives in. Select a location below to find courthouse addresses, law enforcement contacts, CourtView access, and local records resources for that area.
