Juneau Police Department Records Request

The Juneau Police Department accepts criminal history and police report requests through its online records portal at juneau.org/police/records-request. The form asks you to describe the specific documents you need. You must provide your name, address, phone number, and email. You also need to state your involvement in the case. If you are uploading supporting documents, the system accepts PDF files up to 50 MB. After you submit your request, JPD provides a status update within 5 business days.

There are limits on what JPD can release. Open investigation reports are not disclosed. Reports involving pending criminal charges are also withheld. Confidential information is redacted from any records that are released. Third-party reports, meaning reports involving someone other than the requester, are not released. Results show charges, case status, hearing dates, and dispositions. The Juneau courthouse is at 123 4th Street, Juneau, AK 99801, with the clerk's office reachable at (907) 463-4700.

CourtView covers both superior and district court cases in Juneau. Records from before 1990 may not be in the online system. Case documents are not available for download. The court is open to the public for in-person searches as well.

Under AS 12.62.160, any person may receive Alaska criminal justice information. Court records fall within the broader public records framework, and most case information is accessible unless it has been sealed or involves juvenile proceedings.

Note: CourtView is not a criminal history report. Some cases may be missing from the database due to reporting delays or removal by court order.
